US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand. They are looking for an Application Support Engineer with strong backend troubleshooting experience to support complex, data-driven platforms in a high-impact environment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot complex backend issues across application, API, and data layers
- Analyze logs, system behavior, and database queries to identify and resolve issues
- Read and debug code to determine root causes and support resolution efforts
- Support integration issues between systems, including APIs and external platforms
- Manage configurations, permissions, and environment-related changes in cloud systems
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive issue resolution and long-term fixes
- Create documentation, playbooks, and knowledge base articles for recurring issues
Requirements:
- Strong experience troubleshooting object-oriented code (Java, Python, or Scala)
- Ability to read and debug backend code to identify root causes of issues
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data analysis/troubleshooting
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar) including access and configuration management
- Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's or degree in or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience supporting distributed or platform-based applications
- Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with data standards or integrations (e.g., FHIR, third-party systems)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and debugging tools
- Interest in automation or improving support efficiency
