Jr. Platform & Network Security Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Jr. Platform & Network Security Engineer to support a leading organization within the technology and digital infrastructure industry. The role involves translating regulatory mandates into technical requirements while executing hands-on cloud, networking, and compliance automation.

Responsibilities:

• Deconstruct regulatory mandates (NIS2, SOC 2, Article 21) into actionable engineering requirements
• Implement Compliance-as-Code using OPA, AWS Config, or similar policy automation tools
• Build and automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Python
• Support cloud-native networking architectures including VPCs, transit gateways, SDN, and Zero Trust principles
• Collaborate with an observability team to maintain full traceability and audit readiness
• Document and enforce technical controls supporting the Sovereign Data Controller model

Requirements:

• Strong background in IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and Python automation
• Experience with policy-as-code (OPA, AWS Config)
• Deep networking expertise including SDN, Zero Trust, routing, and cloud-native networking
• CISSP
