Data Engineer

Vertex Solutions Inc. is seeking a talented Data Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data transformation, and data models. The role requires collaboration with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and integrity while supporting data processing and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis to understand business requirements and design solutions to meet needs
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes to support data integration and analysis
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
• Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data cleansing, validation, and standardization
• Assist with maintaining database architecture and data processing systems
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 4 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Strong SQL background and ability to write efficient queries
• Experience with general insuretech and agency management solutions
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Git, dbt and snowflake
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work remotely, independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with machine learning and data visualization tools
