The Associate Quality Engineer role focuses on building a strong foundation in quality engineering, supporting testing efforts for frontend applications, and collaborating with senior quality engineers and developers.
Responsibilities:
- Refine and validate acceptance criteria for frontend applications, ensuring clarity and alignment with product and project objectives
- Document defects using established team documentation policies, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness to support efficient tracking and resolution
- Maintain a library of reusable manual test cases to improve efficiency and consistency in testing efforts
- Create basic manual scenario-based test plans for frontend applications based on defined acceptance criteria
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential defects and edge cases
- Execute complex manual scenario test plans written by senior quality engineers to validate functionality and user experience
- Assist in creating more complex manual test plans with guidance from senior team members
- Identify risks early, communicate testing gaps, and work with development teams to resolve issues before deployment
- Maintain clear and structured documentation for test cases, defects, and testing procedures
Requirements:
- Keen interest in software quality and a desire to grow within the quality engineering discipline
- Experience with manual testing of web or frontend applications (professional, academic, or equivalent)
- Ability to write and execute clear, structured manual test cases
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and documentation practices
- Basic understanding of acceptance criteria and how to validate requirements through testing
- Ability to manage individual work tasks and communicate progress effectively
- Willingness to learn test automation concepts and tooling over time
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
