Data Engineer (Remote Available)

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is a leading institution located in Nashville, Tennessee, focused on changing the world through health and wellness. They are seeking a Data Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize their cloud-based data infrastructure while collaborating with stakeholders to address data needs and improve platform scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performant data pipelines that support a variety of source system types (flat files, APIs, databases, etc.)
• Troubleshoot issues with production pipelines and work with internal stakeholders to deploy fixes
• Develop tools and services used by other teams to create, test, and deliver data-related assets
• Provide administration support for our Azure Databricks platform

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years Python and/or C## in an OOP paradigm experience
• 2+ years implementing cloud solutions with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• 1+ years with SQL experience
• Experience with REST data services, APIs, and microservices
• Experience with Git
• Experience with containerization with Docker or Podman
• Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark with certifications being a plus
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform
• Experience CI/CD automation in GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps
