About this role
Helic & Co. is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of their network infrastructure. This role is ideal for an early-career networking professional who wants to gain hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation and configuration of routers, switches, and network devices
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and network connectivity across the organization
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues
- Assist in network upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure projects
- Configure VLANs, routing protocols, and network security settings under supervision
- Maintain documentation for network architecture and configurations
- Work with senior engineers to improve network reliability and security
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and subnetting
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and NAT
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or actively pursuing CCNA
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Internship or hands-on lab experience with networking technologies
