Hyland is seeking a Sales Development Representative 1 who will focus on outreach prospecting and lead qualification to connect with potential customers. The role involves participating in discovery calls, maintaining contact with prospects, generating new leads, and collaborating with account managers to transition leads into sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery calls with account managers to qualified lead prospects to gather information, educate on basic product offerings and determine viability of a sale
- Maintain purposeful, regular contact with identified prospects to add value and drive sale forward; regular contact includes emails, phone calls and other relevant activities
- Generate new qualified lead prospects by developing a target list of customers and executing calling and email campaigns
- Participate in events; make contact with potential customers at trade show booth and ensure proper lead follow up after the show
- Update all internal systems on all activities
- Introduce account manager to potential customer when moved from lead to genuine sales opportunity; transition all important customer information to Account Manager
- Review and evaluate requests for proposals; assist prospects with drafting appropriate documentation
- Leverage multi-tactical technology stack
- Partner with field reps and cross-functional teams and departments to develop targeted campaigns
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Sales Associate
- Inside sales experience
- Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others
- Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
- Solid business acumen
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Able to thoroughly investigate situations or issues to get relevant information; adept at asking probing questions to successfully obtain quality information
- Sharp, fast learner with a curiosity for technology as well as aptitude
- Up to 5% travel time required
