This position is for EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The primary purpose of the Customer Service Assistant role is to ensure the efficient handling of customer service tasks and support the overall operations of the Customer Services Department. This involves managing administrative and clerical functions, processing orders, and coordinating activities to facilitate smooth logistical operations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
This position is based in Greensboro, NC.
Shift: Monday–Friday; 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Major Responsibilities: • Schedule and coordinate load times with planners and ensure alignment with available equipment. • Receive and enter load tenders from customers through various channels (email, fax, phone, EDI), and update the system with appointment details. • Obtain and update necessary details related to purchase orders and trailers in the system. • Assist Customer Service Representatives with their duties, provide temporary coverage for account activity, and handle rescheduling of missed or late loads. • Demonstrate support for the Penske Quality Management System (PQS) and perform other duties as assigned to maintain service standards. • Other projects and tasks as assigned. Qualifications: • HS Diploma / GED required • At least 1 years customer service experience required • Independent problem solving skills required • Intermediate computer skills and data entry skills • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
