DevOps Engineer

Call Quest Solution is looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to lead their transition from legacy infrastructure to a modern, cloud-native environment. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation, enabling scalability, and improving system reliability across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation frameworks
• Lead cloud infrastructure design and implementation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Integrate and deploy Java-based applications across multiple environments
• Architect and support complex middleware and runtime environments
• Automate deployments, configurations, and environment management
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams on system design and strategy
• Conduct system analysis and recommend modernization and performance improvements
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution implementation
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery planning, and system resilience
• Define and enforce deployment, integration, and security standards
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical lead within the DevOps/middleware team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience, including 2+ years in a senior/lead role
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation)
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience with middleware/application servers (IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, Glassfish, Payara)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (SSL, DNS, load balancing)
• Experience with application performance monitoring and disaster recovery planning
• Familiarity with testing and debugging tools (LoadRunner, JUnit, RFHUTIL)
• Experience working in Agile environments and SDLC processes
• Strong documentation and architectural design skills
• Security-first mindset (SAST/DAST, secrets management, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC)
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries
• Familiarity with middleware technologies (IBM MQ, Message Broker, DataPower, WSRR)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
• Knowledge of application delivery controllers (F5, Citrix NetScaler)
• Exposure to configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
• Familiarity with developer platforms and portals (e.g., Backstage)
