CMC Partners is collaborating with a national electrical contractor seeking an experienced leader for a Data Center Electrical Project Management position. This role involves overseeing all phases of construction for large-scale data center electrical projects while developing new business opportunities and ensuring projects exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees all phases of construction for one or more large-scale data center electrical projects
- Contributes to developing new business opportunities across specific clients, client groups, or geographic regions
- Ensures projects exceed client expectations, maintaining strict adherence to the NEC, internal safety policies, and OSHA requirements
- Establishes project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within the framework of company-wide guidelines
- Represents the organization in project meetings, supports strategy discussions, and assists with labor-related negotiations
- Manages all financial aspects of assigned contracts to safeguard the company’s interests while fostering strong client relationships
- Supervises the project team to ensure project delivery meets expectations
- Performs takeoffs, pricing change orders, preparing project quotes, and collaborating closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate tracking and financial reporting
Requirements:
- 8+ years of electrical construction project management experience, managing electrical scopes valued $20M–$100M, including mission-critical facilities, ground-up builds, and major renovations
- Data Center project experience required; hyperscale strongly preferred
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License highly advantageous
- Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling, project tracking, billing, and financial reporting
- Solid understanding of vendors and partners within the electrical construction industry
- Proficiency with industry software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6, and similar platforms
- Ability to travel as needed
- Successful completion of standard background and driving record checks
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
