United Consulting Hub is seeking a Cybersecurity / Product Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across medical products and enterprise systems. The role focuses on ensuring products are developed using secure-by-design principles while meeting healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management
- Integrate security into SDLC, including code reviews and SAST/DAST scanning
- Design and implement secure architectures following secure-by-design principles
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and improve security through root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and guide security practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 3–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or product security
- Strong understanding of: Network security and protocols, Secure coding practices, Vulnerability management
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, PowerShell, or C#)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly
- Experience working in regulated environments
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience in medical device or healthcare cybersecurity
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks: OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA and FDA cybersecurity guidance
- Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and automation tools
- Relevant certifications such as: CISSP, CompTIA Security+
