About this role
Brooksource is seeking a talented full-stack Software Developer with experience in back-end T-SQL development and front-end web development. The role involves designing and producing working code, prioritizing work with project coordinators, and enhancing existing systems for internal users and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce working code to successfully implement stories for the business
- Work with both direct management and specific project Coordinators to prioritize work
- The candidate’s code will be subject to technical reviews of code, looking for anti-patterns, logic flaws, performance issues, or lack of adherence to supported styles
Requirements:
- Experience in back-end T-SQL development
- Experience in front-end web development
- Experience in API integrations
- Proficiency in Microsoft T-SQL
- Solid experience in .NET
- Solid experience in C#
- Experience with front-end technologies (Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS)
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft development tools including SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio
- Deep experience to create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions using the Microsoft T-SQL language in a high-volume Microsoft SQL Server environment
- Experience in web application design and implementation using multiple Microsoft web stacks including WebForms, MVC, and WebAPI
- Experience with client-side web browser scripting libraries and JavaScript frameworks
- Ability to forecast level of effort for development work
- Ability to track story progress and remaining work in an online ticketing system
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated to understand processes, workflows, patterns, and structures of existing systems
- Ability to effectively communicate current business problems and appropriate solutions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining SQL queries, procedures, and supporting data structures
- 3 years of experience developing front-end applications using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Ability to effectively and courteously communicate (both written and verbally)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to forge and maintain productive relationships with multiple groups of people
- Must pass background check
- Git-based Azure DevOps Server source control experience
- Node and Angular are pluses
- Jira experience a plus
- Strong desire to learn new skills, methods, and technologies
- Product mindset and experience developing and shipping user-facing features
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (specifically Git source control, build and release pipelines, and branching and pull-request strategies)
