GH Engage is partnered with a leading and dynamic MEP and Structural engineering design and consulting firm specializing in ultra-high-end residential projects. They are seeking a proactive and highly organized Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to take ownership of project organization and execution across their growing Florida portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of project organization and execution across the growing Florida portfolio
- Manage projects from kick off to completion
- Lead proposal development, resource planning, and overall project delivery
- Produce design/construction drawings and specifications working under the Engineer of Record
- Act as the Client interface for projects you lead
- Undertake and direct evaluations of mechanical equipment/systems and prepare design computations and assessments
- Generate and oversee mechanical design/construction drawings utilizing REVIT and AutoCAD software
- Observe mechanical construction progress and generate field observation reports
- Assess the condition of mechanical systems within existing facilities
- Complete mechanical design tasks within budget and on schedule
- Assist in the development of mechanical design best practices
- Communicate and coordinate the design, writing of reports and correspondence with other discipline professionals and Client’s organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering with mechanical focus, from an ABET-accredited university
- 5-15 years of documented applicable experience
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, or EIT with track for PE
- Resides in Florida with ability to work remotely, within a rough radius of Miami to Palm Beach
- Significant experience using Autodesk REVIT gained in a similar design-related field
- Experience with AutoCAD is also required
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, as well as Bluebeam
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Conduct on-site surveys to document existing conditions
- Develop load calculations, system layouts, equipment selections, riser diagrams, and detailed drawings
- Prepare reports, specifications, and design narratives
- Coordinate designs with architects and consultants to ensure integrated solutions
- Review submittals, evaluate field installations, and participate in site observations
