Sr. Software Engineer- Salesforce

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to lead technical efforts in Salesforce-based production environments. The role involves managing Salesforce orgs, applying DevSecOps processes, and optimizing complex information systems to meet functional requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Management of Salesforce orgs
• Application of DevSecOps formal processes and tools in a Salesforce-based environment
• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems
• Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts
• Develops and implements program/system test plans. Devises data verification methods and standard system procedures
• Responds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems
• May conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support management in budgeting and purchasing efforts
• Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process

Requirements:

• Salesforce Developer Certifications (examples: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, etc.)
• 5+ years in Salesforce development and integrations experience (Apex, LWC) combined with experience leading declarative configurations (Flows, OmniStudio)
• Prior Vlocity for Healthcare/Salesforce Industries Health Payer experience a big plus
• Formal testing experience
• Experience progressing configurations and customizations from sandbox environments in SalesForce to production environments (using a formal SDLC governance structure, Agile)
• Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience
• 5 years - Systems and programming experience required
• 1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required
• 1 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST
• Knowledge of Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Metadata) for integrating Salesforce with other systems
• Understanding of Health Cloud objects, components, and flows
• Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST is required
• Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects
• Top level technical experience in one or more specialized areas of applications systems analysis and programming
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel
• Be organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethic
• Leadership skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers
• Experience leading declarative configurations (Flows, OmniStudio)
• Experience specifically with Azure DevOps (ADO)
