The Security Engineer will participate in the deployment, integration, and operationalization of Threat and Vulnerability Detection Platform across the enterprise, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and integrate the Threat and Vulnerability Platform technology across the enterprise tool and integrate the platforms to the various security tool sets (SIEM, XDR, Reporting, etc.)
- Deploy, implement and manage security controls to safeguard infrastructure, systems, and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards (e.g. FedRAMP, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify security requirements and develop solutions
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures
- Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Review, test, and configure scanning and reporting results to key stakeholders
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior security engineers and other team members
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 4+ years of experience in remediating vulnerabilities on Tenable VM servers
- 4+ years of experience in responding to ticking requests for the team such as ad-hoc scans, false positive investigations, vulnerability risks
- 4+ years of experience in reviewing scans for potential, successful, and unsuccessful scan results
- 4+ years of experience in cloud service provider security concepts
- 2+ years of experience in maintaining and utilizing the Tenable VM software and infrastructure
- Due to FISMA US Citizenship is required
- General knowledge of network concepts, Windows and Linux operating systems and administration
- Scripting, automation, AI integrations
