Cloud Systems Engineer

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) is a mission-driven company focused on impactful projects and innovative solutions. They are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to support federal customers with architecture and infrastructure, ensuring the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
• Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
• Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise AWS cloud and/or infrastructure environments
• Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications within 6 months of hire
• Active Secret clearance
• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems
