United Pharma Technologies Inc is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer with pharmaceutical industry experience to support the design and execution of electrical systems within regulated manufacturing environments. The role involves leading electrical scope for projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs from concept through construction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for power distribution, lighting, grounding/bonding, and special systems (fire alarm, security, telecom/data, raceways, and cable trays)
- Develop designs across all project phases: conceptual, detailed design, construction documents, and construction administration
- Perform electrical calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, architects, engineers, and construction teams
- Support construction activities including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and punch lists
- Participate in field surveys and troubleshooting of existing systems
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to quality review processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Prior experience working within an AEC/design firm environment
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing
- Strong experience with electrical system design (power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems)
- Experience supporting projects through full lifecycle (design to construction administration)
- Strong knowledge of electrical calculations, code compliance, and construction support processes
- Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally (Minneapolis or Omaha)
- Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, and IEEE standards
- Experience with field surveys and system troubleshooting
- Ability to mentor junior staff and support quality control efforts
