Aptonet is seeking an AI Product Manager responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of large IT product and project initiatives for a major electric utility client. This role involves driving product strategy, overseeing delivery teams, and ensuring successful project execution aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision aligned with organizational goals and customer needs
- Lead product development efforts and drive initiatives from concept through launch and post-launch iterations
- Coordinate all activities associated with major IT-related projects and ensure successful project completion
- Assemble and lead delivery teams (pods), assigning responsibilities and ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Develop project plans including scope, schedules, resource allocation, and timelines
- Monitor and report product and project performance to ensure alignment with objectives and roadmap
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation or contingency strategies
- Coordinate resources across multiple product-related initiatives to optimize delivery efficiency
- Ensure governance standards are followed within the product management domain
- Contribute to product portfolio strategy aligned with market trends, business goals, and customer feedback
- Monitor product portfolio performance and use data-driven insights to maximize value and ROI
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership
- Drive strategic change initiatives and support organizational transformation efforts
- Facilitate customer feedback and incorporate insights into product decisions and development priorities
- Guide teams in implementing agile delivery practices and continuous improvement processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 7+ years of experience leading products, projects, or programs
- Strong experience managing complex IT initiatives and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Ability to analyze complex problems, identify contributing factors, and select optimal solutions
- Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams
- Ability to interact with stakeholders, customers, functional managers, and senior leadership
- Experience maintaining strong customer relationships and explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
