PROJECT MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
2+ years of experience in Project Management
3+ years of experience with Power BI.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF PRIVACY and DATA GOVERNANCE

5+ years of experience with business intelligence tools

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
A BACHELOR S DEGREE AND EXPERIENCE IN AUTOMATED INFORMATION OR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM DESIGN, INSTALLATION, OPERATION, OR REPAIR. 4+ YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE BACHELOR S DEGREE ON A YEAR FOR-YEAR BASIS
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires the ability to serve as an Business Intelligence expert Power BI. Under general direction, designs, implements, and maintains highly complex data visualizations. The ability to work independently and under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Information Technology and Data Analysis to ensure the planning and completion of the implementation of reports and data visualizations. Identifies current and future threats in the and help the organization complete the implementation of a new database.
Designs, monitors, supports, and maintains Power BI reports and visualizations of a highly complex nature. Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database. Identifies resources required for designs including upgrades, expansions, and enhancements. Analyzes database efficiency by conducting tests and running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds. Create cubes and paginated reports that will allow increased access to data. Prepares status reports and provides updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, champion, etc. Coordinates requests and recommends changes from original specifications with project sponsor, project team, or stakeholders. Provides direction and guidance to staff concerning program issues. Responds to requests for information from employees.
Consults with the Director of Data Management & IT to provide solutions for routine problems. Monitors and reports on database traffic, usage, and performance. Evaluates, analyzes, and normalizes data sources, complex business rules and processes, technical systems, data requirements, information needs, and data delivery requirements to develop comprehensive and integrated data architectures that support the needs of agencies.
Evaluates organizational readiness, future needs, and shifts in prevailing technologies to proactively plan for an organization s future with respect to data management.
Develops strategy and sets guidelines for technical documentation methods and procedures. Serves as the technical expert and in-depth knowledge base for the agency s information technology applications. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the agency s leadership team, senior management and officials, and vendors.
Works with a third-party vendor to perform routine system analysis. Interfaces across the agency s offices to gain consensus for a coherent architectural strategy for IT solutions.
Monitors market trends and work of standards bodies to assist management and the customer in defining technical standards. Ensures tasks associated with the delivery of projects are completed on time with a high degree of quality. Provides comprehensive consultation at the highest technical level to ensure that solutions adhere to architectural recommendations, standards, and processes. Leverages strong technical skills and knowledge of business operations to resolve complex technology issues.
