Job Overview:
- Provide production support for core mainframe applications and systems.
- Support and monitor nightly batch processing activities.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, incidents, and processing anomalies.
- Respond to user inquiries related to applications, accounts, and system outputs.
- Perform data extractions related to accounts, balances, and transactions.
- Analyze system enhancements and provide development estimates.
- Prepare technical design documents and specifications.
- Maintain and update application technical documentation.
- Perform integration testing with related systems.
- Manage and track requests and tasks using tracking tools.
- Create and manage change requests for applications.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on assigned tasks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirement/Must Have:- 4+ years of experience in mainframe production support.
- Intermediate to advanced COBOL programming skills.
- Experience troubleshooting batch jobs and production issues.
- Strong knowledge of batch processing and job scheduling tools.
- Experience with SQL and database querying.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and change management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and support batch processing operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues.
- Provide data support and reporting as needed.
- Maintain documentation and technical specifications.
- Support testing and implementation activities.
- Manage change requests and track progress.
Should Have:- Experience with OpenVMS operating system and scripting.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Linux scripting.
- Experience in banking or financial services domain.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with financial transactions and reporting systems.
