Description
We are looking for a talented Email Designer to join our creative team in Calabasas, California. This is a long-term freelance contract position offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your design expertise while contributing to the visual identity of a leading retail brand. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to create visually appealing and highly functional email designs that engage and inspire.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Design Lead to organize and maintain Figma files for optimal workflow efficiency.
Ensure all newsletter assets are structured, scalable, and prepared for timely deployment.
Create visually engaging email designs that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
Manage version control and file updates to maintain consistency across projects.
Work closely with the Creative Director, Project Manager, and other team members to execute design projects.
Optimize design elements for usability and responsiveness across various email platforms.
Develop innovative design solutions that enhance user engagement.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall campaign goals.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in email design.
Provide regular feedback and suggestions for improving the design process.
Requirements
Proficiency in Figma, with proven experience in file organization and version control.
Strong skills in email design and visual storytelling.
3-5 years of experience in design roles, preferably within the retail industry.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Familiarity with design software such as Asana and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills to articulate design ideas and concepts.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and email marketing best practices.
