RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support complex, mission-critical systems within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on end-to-end solution architecture, system integration, and operational reliability across multiple business domains. The ideal candidate has experience designing solutions that support high-availability, operationally critical platforms, understands real-world constraints, and can translate business needs into durable, scalable architectures that perform reliably in production.
This is not a hands-on development role. Success in this position comes from strong architectural judgment, communication, and the ability to guide teams through solution design and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
* Translate business and operational requirements into clear, actionable solution architectures
* Lead end-to-end solution design for complex, distributed systems
* Partner with engineering, operations, and business teams to deliver right-first-time outcomes and reduce rework
* Design and govern integrations across applications, platforms, and data sources
* Align solutions with enterprise architecture standards while preventing long-term technical debt
* Leverage cloud and enterprise platforms (including Azure) to support analytics, reporting, and operational insights
* Balance architectural decisions across cost, risk, security, performance, and long-term sustainability
* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and executive stakeholders
* Support solution adoption by guiding teams through design decisions and implementation readiness
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in solution or application architecture roles
* Experience designing solutions in large, complex enterprise environments
* Strong system design skills across distributed or hybrid architectures
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
* Experience integrating enterprise systems, platforms, or data sources
* Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
* Strong communication skills and experience working across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting systems with high availability or continuous operational requirements
* Background working in regulated, compliance-driven, or risk-sensitive environments
* Exposure to operational data, analytics, or performance monitoring platforms
* Familiarity with secure-by-design architecture principles
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
