Vantage Mainframe Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Vantage Mainframe Developer to join our team. This role requires expertise in analyzing and documenting Vantage 21 solutions, along with strong knowledge of insurance domain systems and mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with business acumen to support development, product support, and conversion projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform code analysis on Vantage 21 solutions, documenting current state and code interpretation.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions.

• Provide support for development, product support, and conversion projects.

• Ensure system reliability and performance through effective troubleshooting and optimization.

• Maintain clear documentation of processes, designs, and technical findings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of COTS products such as Vantage-One, WMA, LifePro, or other client products used for managing the insurance policy lifecycle on mainframe systems.

• Experience with homegrown mainframe applications.

• Strong business knowledge in the insurance domain, particularly Life Insurance and Annuities.

• Proven ability to work across multiple project types including development, product support, and conversions.

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to modernization initiatives involving mainframe systems.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.

• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
