Kforce has a client that is seeking a Flight Simulation Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Flight Simulation Engineer to help advance and scale our flight simulation capabilities in support of next-generation autonomous systems. This role will focus on expanding simulation environments, building robust tooling for algorithm evaluation, and enabling repeatable, data-driven testing across a growing set of vehicles and mission scenarios.
This is a highly collaborative role for an engineer who enjoys working across disciplines, values strong software practices, and is motivated by solving complex, real-world problems through simulation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Expand and enhance existing flight simulation environments to support increasingly repeatable and diverse scenarios
* Develop tooling to run simulations and collect metrics that measure the performance and effectiveness of new algorithms
* Add and integrate new vehicles into the simulation environment
* Provide feedback and recommendations on how simulation can be leveraged more effectively across development efforts
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders
* Apply strong software engineering practices, including unit testing, verification, and experimental validation
Required Competencies
Strong proficiency in C++
Familiarity with Docker and Linux-based development environments
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to support effective technical collaboration
A deep curiosity for science and technology, with a willingness to learn new tools, concepts, or domains as needed to get the job done

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
