MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester to join our team in Fort Detrick, Maryland. This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Expanded telework options are available for exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.
This position supports a pivotal Defense Health Agency (DHA) program within our Health Portfolio. The successful candidate will work with an experienced project team supporting systems that are instrumental to Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) business processes in Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), warehouses, and in-field environments. This role serves as a member of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) team and is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated tests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide functional and technical testing support for complex systems within SAFe and Agile development environments.
- Develop and maintain Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Scenarios, Test Designs, and Test Cases for both manual and automated testing.
- Execute integration, functional, regression, performance, and stress testing to validate system performance and reliability.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JavaScript, QTP, and Core Java.
- Perform API testing and database validation using tools like Swagger, SoapUI, Postman, SQL, and NoSQL scripts.
- Conduct accessibility testing using Deque-axe, ANDI, and screen readers to ensure Section 508 compliance.
- Track defects using JIRA and Serena Business Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams and IV&V organizations to support testing, documentation, and system evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/IT with 6+ years of related testing experience. An additional fours year of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience developing test automation frameworks using tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or Selenium.
- Experience performing load and performance testing using tools like k6, JMeter, or Gatling.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, XML, PL/SQL, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with configuration management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, and Serena Business Manager (SBM).
- DHS 508 Trusted Tester certification with experience using accessibility testing tools (ANDI, JAWS, Deque Axe) and strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a Public Trust suitability and undergo a Tier 3 Investigation for DoD Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
