7Seventy Recruiting is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support large-scale healthcare infrastructure modernization initiatives. The role involves building secure, scalable cloud-native platforms and DevSecOps pipelines for mission-critical APIs and digital healthcare services, focusing on automation and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design and support scalable cloud-native platforms with a focus on automation, security, and developer experience
- Build self-service platforms for deploying containerized applications and exposing secure API endpoints
- Deliver platform capabilities including PaaS solutions and enterprise-grade API infrastructure
- Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including automated security scanning and shift-left security
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code frameworks
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- Support cloud networking across L4–L7 layers within AWS environments
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards, audit readiness, and governance requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to define platform roadmaps and best practices
- Continuously improve platform performance, scalability, and security through automation and innovation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of networking concepts within cloud environments (L4–L7)
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Cilium
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation scripts
- Experience building monitoring and observability solutions for production systems
- Experience contributing to platform architecture or defining engineering standards
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or software engineering roles
- Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience implementing DevSecOps pipelines and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with deployment strategies such as Blue/Green using ArgoCD
- Experience implementing secure communication protocols such as mTLS
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP or FISMA
- Experience working within government or public sector environments
