Beth Israel Lahey Health is a growing organization making a difference in people’s lives. The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing projects within the Technology & Innovation service line, developing project plans, and coordinating resources to drive successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, define, and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules/deliverables; establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of project/program. (essential)
- Oversee development of integrated testing, validation, development of training materials, and the conduct of the training (essential)
- Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones (essential)
- Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects (essential)
- Define, identify, secure, and coordinate internal and external resources and expertise, as appropriate, for the program/project implementation (essential)
- Drive functional and technical specifications to completion, engage effectively with key stakeholders, identify and set success criteria and have a full understanding of the project life cycle. (essential)
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiative (essential)
- Facilitate the project team discussion to define the process for identifying and documenting issues in a project and recommending corrective action. Takes the lead in the issue resolution process and identifies project priorities when resolving issues. (essential)
- Communicates the status of issue management activities to project team members and organizational stakeholders. (essential)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required
- More than 10 years related work experience required in project management and/or software development/system management experience
- Knowledge and experience using basic and intermediate project management tools and techniques
- Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems
- Candidate will have a proven track record of producing quality deliverables on time, taking ownership and accountability of assignments and demonstrating a strong work ethic
