The Staff Product Designer will lead the design of significant projects, focusing on creating exceptional, AI-driven user experiences that enhance the QuickBooks ecosystem for small to mid-sized businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of multiple medium-to-large scale projects with high proficiency; raising the bar for design across the team and broader organization
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications that effectively communicate design intent and compelling vision
- Participates in design planning and visioning
- Speaks to the role that their craft plays in a design
- Understands the relationship between visual presentation and comprehension
- Explore and implement innovative design solutions that leverage emerging patterns and AI
- Models a platform mindset and looks at work in terms of an entire suite of products or experiences; thinks critically about ways to experiment, stretch, and meaningfully diverge from the system to learn and ultimately improve the system and its outcomes
- Leverages industry knowledge and strategic insights to guide and support work
- Presents work with polish and confidence

- Ability to convey holistic ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
- Articulate design concepts and rationale through compelling presentations and narratives

- Facilitate design artifacts, shares, workshops and critiques to drive alignment across leadership as well as both design and product teams
- Mentors and up levels the craft of others including senior and junior designers on the team
