Job Description
Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs. We are currently looking for experienced Class A tractor trailer Transport Drivers in Clearfield, PA. This is a seasonal, full‑time opportunity running primarily from May through September/October, offering 40–60 hours per week. Drivers receive additional overtime after 8 hours per day on top of weekly overtime after 40 hours. Although the role is seasonal, your benefits remain active year‑round, ensuring continuous coverage even during the off‑season. You may also be eligible for unemployment benefits during the winter months, providing additional financial support until the next season begins. This position will start in May 2026.
Primary Duties
- Haul asphalt based emulsion oil, mostly in Pennsylvania with some occasional out of state work.
- Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle. This requires climbing up, on and over unit to verify everything is in proper working order.
Experience & Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement; HazMat Endorsement preferred
- Must have a good driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles, exposure to high temperatures
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Occasional travel with overnight stays away from home may be required
