About this role
Idexcel is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join their team. The role involves Java application development, supporting web and batch applications, and implementing test automation and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full stack development and a strong background in Java technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 7 years in Java development and 3 years of full stack experience
- Experience in JAVA application development, web application, batch applications and support is required
- Experience with oracle DB query development (including Hibernate in Spring Framework)
- Experience with test automation in unit tests, functional tests, regression tests and performance tests
- Experience with implementing in Playwright and CICD with Jenkins
- Experience with Version One and Agile development
- Must be expert in Java, especially J2EE, and Spring Framework
- Must be expert in Java, including J2EE, Spring framework, and Struts to maintain and expand current applications
- Must be expert in web page development, including Struts, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, etc
- Must be experienced with Kubernetes, micro-services, event-driven application with Kafka
- Must have expertise in building RESTful API Applications with promises of high throughput, strong resilience, and secure controls
- Must have experience in writing functional tests with automation testing framework, like Playwright
- Knowledge of best practices in Version Controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially for collaborating on mainframe integration with Java developers and migration planning
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail

- A minimum of Eight (8) years' relevant experience
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required
