They are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Linux Systems Engineer to manage and support cloud-based geospatial solutions, ensuring system security, availability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- The Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing cloud-based geospatial solutions, ensuring system security, availability, and performance
- Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux and Windows server environments, supporting automation and deployment processes, and implementing scalable cloud architecture
- The role involves monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, and applying patches and updates to maintain security compliance
- You will work closely with development and operations teams to optimize workflows, automate routine tasks, and support system upgrades
- Additionally, the engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of machine learning models, unstructured text parsing, and orchestration workflows using NiFi Apache
- Documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports is also a vital part of the role
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines and operational standards
Requirements:
- Top Secret clearance (with the ability to pass CI Poly upon hire)
- DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 6-10 years
- Proven experience with AWS and other cloud technologies
- Advanced Linux administration skills, particularly with RHEL 7 or higher
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments and systems architecture
- Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI automation
- Experience with RDS, SQL technologies, and cloud architecture implementation methodologies
- Experience with IC Cloud Architecture
- Experience with team collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, RocketChat
- Proficiency with NiFi Apache, Python, machine learning algorithms, and Tomcat
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer
