Orienta is a technology company seeking a Senior Quality Manual and Automation Engineer to join their QA team focused on healthcare and enterprise systems. The role involves validating integration workflows and driving automation coverage using Playwright, while also performing manual testing and collaborating with the automation team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated test coverage for integration workflows using Playwright as the primary framework
- Transition validated manual test cases to automated coverage — owning the automation lifecycle for the flows you test
- Collaborate with the broader automation team (Selenium/FlaUI in use) to coordinate coverage and framework alignment
- Structure manual test cases with automation-readiness in mind: clear inputs, expected outputs, reusable data patterns
- Manually test and validate integrations between internal intake systems and external partner platforms across multiple healthcare service lines
- Inspect, parse, and validate XML and JSON payloads transacting through middleware integration layers, including multi-message transaction flows
- Use Postman to execute and validate API calls, inspect responses, and confirm correct data flow across systems
- Validate backend data integrity using Oracle SQL Developer and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Write, organize, and execute test cases in TestRail covering integration scenarios, regression, and edge cases
- Log, triage, and track defects in Azure DevOps, including root cause analysis across integrated systems
- Produce daily status reports summarizing test run results and open defects (title, owner, state, and age)
- Support UAT cycles and coordinate validation with business stakeholders and external partners
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience in QA/QE/SDET roles
- Solid, senior-level Playwright experience — must be able to architect frameworks, not just write scripts
- Significant ownership of automation frameworks with strong Postman experience — constructing requests, inspecting XML/JSON, validating multi-step flows
- Ability to write and run queries in Oracle SQL Developer and/or SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for data validation and defect investigation
- Experience validating data exchanges between enterprise systems, middleware layers, or external partners
- Comfortable parsing and analyzing XML and JSON payloads, identifying field-level discrepancies and mapping issues
- Experience with TestRail (or equivalent) for test case management
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar for defect tracking
- Strong English — written and verbal communication skills
- Selenium/FlaUI background
- Healthcare, insurance, or regulated industry integration experience
- Familiarity with EDI-like patterns: HL7, X12, or proprietary XML schemas
- Experience with Oracle EBS or similar enterprise platform integrations
- Experience coordinating with external vendors as part of integration testing
- Comfort working in legacy or highly coupled systems with limited test environment isolation
