
Location: Conyers, GA (Base) with ~50% Travel to Remote Sites

Position Summary:
The Network Infrastructure Technician is responsible for the physical health and connectivity of our manufacturing network across all locations. This role combines high-level hardware installation with active troubleshooting of site outages and circuit-related issues. You will take ownership of network infrastructure projects, including bandwidth upgrades, hardware refreshes, and site-to-site connectivity audits.
Core Responsibilities:
● Troubleshooting & Outage Response: Act as the primary responder for site-wide network or connectivity outages. Diagnose physical connectivity issues and coordinate with external service providers to restore operations.
● Project Ownership: Lead network infrastructure projects from start to finish, including bandwidth upgrades, hardware lifecycle refreshes, and new site build-outs.
● Equipment Installation: Physically install, rack, and cable Cisco switches, routers, and Meraki Access Points according to engineering schematics.
● Connectivity Partner Coordination: Manage professional relationships with telecommunications providers at all sites; monitor circuit performance and lead the implementation of bandwidth expansions.
● Cable Plant Management: Oversee the installation and testing of Cat6 and fiber optic cabling; ensure data closets at all sites meet professional organization standards.
● Asset & Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of site hardware and update physical network blueprints/cable run diagrams after every project or refresh.
Required Qualifications:
● Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; CCNA or Network+ certification is a plus but not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
● Experience: 3–5 years of experience in hardware installation, field-based technical support, or telecommunications.
● Technical Skills:
○ Proven ability to troubleshoot data circuits and physical layer connectivity issues.
○ Proficiency with hand tools, cable testers, and rack-mounting hardware.
○ Experience in vendor management (Connectivity partners, cabling contractors).
○ Basic understanding of network devices (CLI basics for status checks is a plus).
● Physical Requirements:
○ Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs of equipment.
