Senior Data Scientist, Field Engineering

Spotfire is looking for Field R&D Data Scientists and Developers specializing in Industrial Analytics to enhance customer analytical capabilities. The role involves leading R&D projects focused on data integration, exploratory analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling, while collaborating with product management and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Delve deep into Industrial AI, Data Science and Analytics challenges
• Engage with customers to understand requirements
• Perform and guide R&D projects in the field of AI and Industry Analytics. Example topics of research and projects include Agentic AI, digital twins, anomaly detection, time series, geospatial and mathematical modeling of industry processes
• Create reusable data models, workflows and test suites in order to streamline project delivery
• Collaborate with product management and engineering on field engineering and product roadmaps
• Innovate in the areas of application and deployment of AI and DSML methodsAI, Visualization and Data Science - create applications with Python, Typescript and related technologies
• Participate in technical customer engagements through understanding Spotfire use cases, providing guidance, and building prototypes and applications

Requirements:

• Experience with Spotfire and other software components for data science, integration and programming environments e.g. Python, R, Javascript, Typescript
• An undergraduate or masters degree in STEM (Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Science, or related analytical field of study) with classes in statistics and or computer science
