Entry-Level Quality Assurance Engineer

Skillistan Ventures is focused on delivering reliable and high-quality software, and they are seeking an Entry-Level Quality Assurance Engineer to support testing, validation, and quality control activities. This role involves identifying defects, verifying functionality, and ensuring applications meet quality standards, providing a strong foundation for a career in quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing manual and automated test cases
• Review software requirements and specifications to understand expected behavior
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue management tools
• Perform functional, regression, and basic performance testing
• Support test data preparation and test environment setup
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Participate in quality reviews and testing status meetings
• Maintain clear and accurate test documentation and reports
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and standards
• Learn and apply quality assurance tools, frameworks, and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of software development and testing principles
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to identify issues and think critically about system behavior
• Willingness to learn testing tools, automation frameworks, and methodologies
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• Clear communication skills for documenting and explaining issues
• Basic knowledge of test case design and defect tracking is an advantage
• Academic projects, internships, or training in software testing are a plus
