Halliwell is a global organization providing commercial property loss investigative services. The Senior Forensic Engineer 3 will assess the condition of structural buildings and facilities, perform investigations, and produce detailed reports, while collaborating with a team of engineers and consultants.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate the condition and potential cause of distress to a wide range of structural buildings and facilities
- Perform field investigations of site conditions and subsequent analyses of structural components
- Produce written reports detailing findings of investigations, including conceptual repair recommendations
- Work with an inter-disciplinary team of engineers and construction consultants as part of investigations
- Receive mentoring from senior engineering staff and provide mentorship to junior staff members
- Develop and maintain client relationships through projects and team-related activities within the region
Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the States of Missouri / Kansas / New York / State of Minnesota / Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis, evaluation, and design of structures (buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, etc.) or building envelope systems
- BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, structural analysis software, and drafting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Must be physically able to perform investigations in the field (including climbing ladders, carrying inspection tools, stooping, kneeling, etc.)
- Approximately 15% travel
- MS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture is a plus
