Staff Backend Engineer - Crypto

Career Renew is recruiting for a Staff Backend Engineer - Crypto, a fully remote role aimed at US-based candidates. The company is focused on building autonomous trading infrastructure and intelligence layers to enhance trading outcomes and is looking for a staff-level engineer with proven leadership in developing large-scale systems.

Responsibilities:

• Real-time, budget-aware mirror trading infrastructure on Hyperliquid and beyond
• High-throughput wallet and trading systems operating under extreme volatility
• AI-driven intelligence layers that continuously improve trading outcomes
• Production systems designed for correctness, resilience, and speed
• Developer workflows where AI is used aggressively as a force multiplier

Requirements:

• Staff-level engineer capable of owning large, business-critical systems
• Proven ability to lead work end-to-end: problem definition → architecture → implementation → production
• Comfortable making high-impact technical decisions in ambiguous environments
• Crypto-Native Experience (Essential)
• Hands-on experience with crypto wallets, tokens, and trading systems
• Deep familiarity with trading APIs, execution flows, and transaction lifecycles
• Strong intuition for how real crypto markets behave under volatility and scale
• Strong production experience with TypeScript
• Strong production experience with Node.js
• Strong production experience with Golang
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, performance, and reliability
• Experience building high-throughput backend services
• Actively uses AI as an accelerant in design, development, and iteration (must have)
• Experience running production systems: monitoring, on-call, incident response, root-cause analysis
• Strong bias toward correctness and safety in financial systems
• Pragmatic, outcome-oriented approach to shipping
