Key Responsibilities
Architectural Strategy: Lead the direction and definition of network architecture programs that support long-term business strategy and future-state goals.
Solution Design: Create and present formal Conceptual and Solution Network Architectures to senior leadership and the Enterprise Architecture Review Council.
Full Lifecycle Oversight: Engage in all project phases, from initial kickoff and requirements analysis to final implementation and troubleshooting.
Business Alignment: Interface across business units to proactively define technology roadmaps and build consensus for new infrastructure investments.
Standards & Governance: Ensure all applications and servers are built using industry best practices, promoting reusability and strict adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards.
Mentorship & Innovation: Act as a technical visionary and mentor, challenging the status quo to integrate modern technologies like SOA and advanced EIM.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 15–20 years of broad IT experience, with at least 10–15 years specifically focused on relevant technology and network architecture.
Technical Expertise: Expert-level, hands-on capabilities in routing and switching within Data Center and Enterprise Network environments.
Certification: Active CCIE certification is required.
Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of EA frameworks, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and software design principles.
Proven Track Record: Experience as a Lead Architect for at least two large-scale, complex IT programs.
Soft Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Industry Preference: Prior experience in the Transportation Industry is highly preferred.
