Go!Foton is seeking a Product Line Manager for their Fiber Cable Assembly product line. The role involves leading product lifecycle management, driving growth in Data Center, Optical Networking, and Telecommunications markets, and collaborating with various teams to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead product development initiatives to meet customer and market needs, address product gaps, and generate new product ideas that drive growth and enhance customer experience
- Develop, implement, and maintain pricing strategies, demand forecasts, S&OP processes, and lifecycle plans
- Create and guide product promotion strategies, including technical documentation, ordering guides, and web-based catalogs
- Partner with sales and account management teams to develop and execute product sales strategies that achieve market share goals
- Define and maintain product and marketing roadmaps to ensure long-term success
- Collaborate with operations to optimize inventory levels, improve product availability, and ensure lead-time performance
- Participate in fiber cable and connector vendor discussions to drive delivery schedules, configurations, and component qualification
- Analyze market trends and competitive offerings to position products effectively
- Act as the product line leader, providing vision and direction across cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, sales, customer service, and field applications)
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the product line and the components supply into the products
- Maintain industry and technical knowledge through research, networking, and professional development
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and customer value
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Aptitude for understanding technical products and customer applications
- Knowledge of fiber optics, including fiber cable types and construction (e.g., fire ratings, jacket materials, ribbon types, and related specifications)
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of product management experience with full lifecycle ownership
- Travel required up to 10-25% for customer visits, trade shows, supplier visits and occasional travel overseas
- Prior experience in telecommunications or data communications
- MBA preferred
- Experience in telecommunications, data centers, or data communications is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar analytical tools
