About this role
Netflix is a leading entertainment company focused on pushing the boundaries of storytelling through technology. They are seeking an experienced engineering leader to head the SRE team responsible for their Edge Accelerator and CDN DDoS protection services.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the team’s roadmap with a strong focus on reliability, resilience, performance, latency measurement, traffic steering, failover mechanisms, protocol optimizations, and DDoS detection and mitigation
- Build strong partnerships with senior engineering and operations leaders
Requirements:
- Thorough technical understanding of internet architecture, video streaming, and related topics
- Deep technical expertise in designing, building, operating, and optimizing large scale 24/7 production systems
- Experience leading an SRE team accountable for the reliability of large scale, highly efficient distributed content delivery or cloud infrastructure services, with a focus on edge acceleration and DDoS protection
- Exceptional communication, cross-discipline collaboration, and leadership skills
