Director, Product Engineering

Doxel is transforming the construction industry by bringing computer vision and AI to enhance project visibility and efficiency. As the Director of Product Engineering, you will lead a team responsible for Doxel’s customer-facing application, collaborating with various stakeholders to design and deliver scalable functionalities while fostering team growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of engineers and managers responsible for Doxel’s customer-facing application
• Set the vision for the full-stack architecture
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, operations, and customer success to design and deliver new functionality at scale
• Organize and grow your team in order to meet the needs of the business
• Help team members progress on their individual career paths
• Pragmatically execute on strategic initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to plan, design, and execute on strategic priorities
• Create a technical roadmap and resource plan
• Grow the team with a high hiring bar, and onboard new team members
• Grow people through formal and informal feedback and career growth plans
• Build a strong team culture
• Contribute to business strategy with an engineering perspective
• Implement processes and technologies that optimize velocity, including AI tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field
• 5+ years of managing managers experience
• 10+ years of engineering leadership, including building large-scale customer-facing products
• Technical depth in service-oriented architecture, web client frameworks, data pipelines, and AI/ML
• Experience building products using AI/ML
• Experience with 3D rendering - especially in a web client
• Domain experience/knowledge in construction
• Experience building software in an operations-focused business
