About this role
Harnham is seeking a senior engineering leader to help build and scale the core platform powering their products. The role involves designing and building secure, scalable APIs, developing clean, modular code, and owning CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and safe delivery of features.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build secure, scalable APIs used internally and by customers
- Develop clean, modular code that works across systems and teams
- Own CI/CD pipelines and testing automation to keep things moving fast and safely
- Reduce system complexity and improve performance across the stack
- Turn product ideas into technical designs and shipped features
- Develop integrations with partners and external systems
- Build APIs that expose platform capabilities in a secure, reliable way
- Create event-driven pipelines and backend workflows
- Write reusable, portable code that scales with the business
- Ensure strong observability, testing, and production readiness
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Debug and resolve production issues quickly
- Build systems that fail gracefully and recover automatically
- Push for better documentation and engineering best practices
Requirements:
- 8–10 years building and running production systems
- Strong experience with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Deep AWS experience (S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized systems
- Experience improving CI/CD and testing in real-world environments
- Tech Stack: Python, SQL, Rust, JavaScript, AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk), SQSDatabricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog), Snowflake, Airflow, Databricks Jobs, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Databricks is a plus
- Kubernetes (EKS) experience is a plus
- AdTech experience is nice to have, not required
