Twilio is a leading company in communications technology, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for businesses and developers globally. The Director of Product Management will be responsible for developing the vision and strategy for Twilio's phone numbers products, leading a team to create customer-centric solutions that drive growth in the Communications business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the strategy and roadmap of Twilio’s phone number products, taking into account Twilio’s global growth strategy, regulatory needs, and scalable operations that make our customers successful on Twilio
- Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, Legal, and the rest of Communications Product teams to ensure alignment on the best strategic direction and market opportunities
- Launch innovative phone number products from the infrastructure layer up and lead critical new initiatives for Twilio that open up new markets
- Be the voice of the customer in every conversation and decision, and ensure we build world class products that our customers love and value
- Manage a global team of product managers and mentor them to succeed in building and executing to the vision
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of Product Management or related experience building customer-facing cloud products for businesses (B2B) or developers
- Experience growing a team of product managers
- Experience with highly technical, multi-workstream product launches; distributed systems experience a plus
- You can translate between the technical details, customer problems, and business impact of the team's work
- You are a strong communicator. From pitching to our leadership team on what customers need to see from our products, to developing a spec for a feature with a partner, you're able to thoughtfully and clearly explain fundamental reasons behind your decisions
- You are organized and comfortable working with exec-level stakeholders and drive deep customer relationships
- You can build highly leveraged products that can be used as the cornerstone for customers and internal teams alike
- You're not shy about diving in deep with engineering, sales, legal, or the customer
- You can run a tight ship, prioritizing a robust stream of work into cohesive, incremental releases
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience building products/services related to APIs, developer experience
- Experience working with telecommunications or other regulated ecosystems
