System One is seeking to contract with a Requirements Management Engineer who will be focused on the integrated design of plant systems and structures for advanced nuclear reactor projects. The role involves developing and implementing requirements management processes, interfacing with design teams, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance program requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in development and implementation of requirements management processes, procedures, and tools to support design work
- Support external vendors in the development and implementation of plant, system and component requirements
- Interface with design teams to facilitate the development and maintenance of requirement sets for the plant, systems, and components
- Facilitate implementation of a Systems approach to requirements management, and its increasing complexity and maturity across design stages with multiple teammate and contractor organizations
- Identify needs and improvements to the process and toolsets to optimize and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of requirement management
- Support and assist in the development of Programmatic Requirements and System Engineering Documentation (e.g., procedures, plans, guides, and templates)
- Support and implement requirements verifications and validation reports for systems and components
- Perform inspection of requirement product quality, adherence to standards, and practices, providing corrective feedback where deviations are identified
- Assist in development and presentation of training to project personnel on requirements management processes and tools
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance program requirements
- Interface with licensing activities related to Safety Analysis Reports and Quality Assurance Program
Requirements:
- B.S. or higher in relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university
- 5+ years of direct experience in requirements management
- Demonstrated experience implementing requirements management in industrial, high complexity, and regulatory environments
- Knowledge of nuclear (or equivalent) quality program design and configuration management principles, practices, and tools is highly desired
- Experience in Systems Engineering discipline and processes is highly desirable
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and a drive for technical excellence
- Self-starter with the ability to coordinate and lead a design team's efforts with minimal supervision
- Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
- High degree of trust and integrity, with strong communication and teamwork skills
