About this role
AmberBox is the industry leader in gunshot detection and response technology, and they are seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer. In this role, you will work directly with clients to translate their operational needs into software solutions, adapting the platform to fit complex customer environments and taking ownership of features from conception to deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with our clients to understand their unique operational environments and translating those needs into shipped software
- Partner closely with PMs and other engineers to scope, build, and deploy features that solve real problems for Fortune 100 corporations, schools, professional sports teams, and more
- Adapting our platform to fit complex customer environments
- Integrating with a customer’s existing security infrastructure
- Customizing alerting workflows for a business’s operations team
- Configuring platforms to address client needs
- Move fast, context-switch often, and take end-to-end ownership of features from customer conversation to production deployment
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in typed languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, C#, or TypeScript)
- Experience with back-end frameworks (Spring, Express/Inversify/typeORM)
- Experience with front-end tools (Angular, React, Vue, or NextJS)
- Experience designing RESTful APIs
- Experience implementing modern auth mechanisms (JWTs, SSO/SAML)
- Experience deploying with Kubernetes/Helm
