About this role
Fantom Corporation is a mission-focused organization supporting critical programs across the defense and intelligence community. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support pipeline development, infrastructure deployment, and application configuration within a cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab
- Support GitLab runner configuration and pipeline execution processes
- Execute application deployments and perform environment configuration tasks
- Assist with infrastructure provisioning and deployment activities using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Support data integrations and API configuration efforts
- Participate in testing, validation, and quality assurance activities
- Update and maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures
- Collaborate with senior engineers to support system reliability and deployment workflows
Requirements:
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification)
- Active Secret clearance
- Active CAC or ability to obtain immediately
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working with AWS environments, preferably AWS GovCloud (Cloud One experience is a plus)
- Experience with containerized deployments and orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS)
- Experience using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development
- Experience with deployment tools such as ArgoCD
- Strong understanding of application deployment and environment configuration processes
- Experience supporting API integrations and backend services
- Familiarity with cloud-native application architectures
- Experience working in collaborative, Agile development environments
