They are seeking a Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager to manage wastewater infrastructure projects, develop creative solutions, and collaborate with multi-discipline teams while mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage wastewater infrastructure projects and project teams to support the planning, design, and construction of wastewater treatment, pumping, distribution, storage or conveyance projects
- Develop creative solutions to complex wastewater treatment challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions
- Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion
- Manage and mentor junior level staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida or ability to obtain within six months of hire
- Experience managing multi-discipline infrastructure projects
- Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial wastewater treatment projects
- Proven understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Solid knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations
- Fifteen (15) + years of experience designing and/or managing water or wastewater treatment or conveyance projects
- Knowledge of regional water or wastewater issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to scope and budget new water or wastewater facility projects and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
