Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Contract Start & End Date: ASAP - 6/30/27 (will be extended)

Onsite or remote: Hybrid Role (3 days Onsite, 2 days Remote)

Worksite address: Trenton, NJ

*Local candidates only, Candidates need 70% of their experience within the data centers and 30% in security.

Would be open to more data center experience as well. Enterprise working hands-on experience with these protocols would be a plus: BGPMPLSIS-ISVXLAN (Not a must-have, but highly desirable)

Job Description

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves design and implementation of security solutions, as well as developing and managing DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture. This role will be full time and Hybrid in Trenton, NJ

What You'll Do

Design and implement security solutions using protocols such as BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing

Develop and manage DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture

Apply MacSEC technology to enhance data security

Monitor and optimize QoS traffic shaping

Work with Cisco Nexus hardware to ensure network reliability

Collaborate on projects involving Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS (as needed)

What You'll Need

Required:

Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus hardware

Proficiency in protocols including BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing

Hands-on experience with DMZ design, IPSec, Nexus vPC architecture, and MacSEC technology

Knowledge of QoS traffic shaping principles

Preferred:

Familiarity with Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS
