Helix - Senior Devops Engineer (GovCloud, Security Clearance)

BMC Helix is a forward-thinking IT organization focused on delivering AI-native solutions for enterprise IT. They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud Platform team, responsible for deploying and maintaining infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid clouds.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain private and public cloud deployments on AWS, Google, Oracle and other IAAS platforms
• Maintain and support all platform deployment software, including K8s, Rancher, OKE, GKE, and EKS
• Develop and maintain automation via Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Ansible, AWX/Ansible Tower, etc
• Experience with writing code in the following is a plus: GO and Python
• Deploy data center environments on both bare metal, virtual instances, and cloud instances
• Experience with Spectro Cloud is a plus
• Provide help with architectural design for Capacity and Performance Management, Data Center Rollouts and Consolidation

Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of proven success in senior-level DevOps engineering roles, driving innovation and reliability at scale
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced certifications (ITIL, MCSE, VCP, AWS, GCP, OCI) strongly preferred
• Eligible to obtain US Secret Security Clearance; current clearance strongly preferred
• Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform for automation, orchestration, and CI/CD excellence
• Skilled in leveraging Change & Incident Management tools to ensure operational stability and rapid issue resolution
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration across diverse, global teams
• Demonstrated success deploying and managing solutions in AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud environments
• Highly self-motivated and independent, consistently delivering results with minimal supervision or instruction
• Adept at solving complex, diverse problems through thorough analysis, creative approaches, and practical solutions
• Strong judgment in selecting the right methods, tools, and techniques to achieve optimal outcomes
• Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical challenges with both precision and imagination
• Skilled at assessing and clearly communicating risks, balancing complexity, resources, and timelines to drive informed decisions
• Candidates must have US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Experience with writing code in the following is a plus: GO and Python
• Experience with Spectro Cloud is a plus
