The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for creating comprehensive business requirements, facilitating discussions with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects meet their original intent through rigorous testing and communication.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for the creation of sound, complete business requirements for assigned projects
- In additional this position will apply those requirements against our application testing methodology ensuring the end product is consistent with the original intent
- This role will ensure business requirements are complete, thorough and tested
- In pursuit of complete business requirements, this position will interview the sponsor(s) of the project as well as collateral contributors (stakeholders) of the project to document their needs and desires (requirements)
- This position is also responsible for helping contributors crystallize their thoughts to minimize the likelihood that key functionality or obvious control parameters are not omitted in the initial requirements document
- The Business Analyst will be expected to facilitate requirements discussions, capture information, document the requirements and obtain sign-off from stakeholders
- Additionally this position will lead assigned projects through the testing phase ensuring that test cases are built which exercise the application against original requirements
- It will be the responsibility of this position to ensure any new requirements identified in the testing phase are appropriately channeled through the change control process
- The position will require management of risks, completion of status reports, approving deliverables and post deliverable assessment
- Significant interaction with SCA leaders will be a requirement of this position so this individual must be comfortable working with the highest levels of senior management
- Lead requirements meetings

- Ensure the requirements match the approved scope of the project
- Detail out the scope requirements
- Produce detailed business requirements document
- Ensure all stakeholders approve the business requirements before the development phase starts
- Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
- Attend project team meetings for assigned projects
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
- Resolve and/or escalate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Posses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
- Understand Internet, Intranet and client/server architectures
- Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies
- Possess a thorough understanding of information technology capabilities
- Develop lasting business relationships with client personnel
- Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
- Build a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectives
- Apply business requirements to SCA’s testing methodologies and create test scripts
- Oversee the application of test scripts to ensure the desired result
- Create a test plan and perform hands-on testing of the applications when necessary
- Log and report progress against the project’s test plan as necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment
- Bachelor's degree or significant business requirements experience required
- Experience building business requirements, test scripts and/or test plans required
- Experience with Visio and Word and Outlook
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, including a proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment
- Proven ability to manage key stakeholders while managing competing priorities
- Strong leadership skills including conflict/issue resolution
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with clients, stakeholders and senior management
- Ability to work effectively with project resources across multiple departments
- Relevant certification or advanced degrees a plus
- Preferred to have previous HR/Talent Acquisition and/or Revenue Cycle experience
